This provides storage and processing of recordings from the thermal camera for one year. The camera includes the first year of storage costs.
When the recordings are uploaded, they are processed to identify tracks containing possible animals. Machine vision algorithms are run over these tracks to identify the animals. You can log into the Cacophony Portal and view these videos, add your own tags and notes, download individual videos, or a summary of the data. For a full description of the available functionality, please check out the Thermal Camera manual.
If you would like to store recordings for longer than a year then you will need to buy more storage. For example after a year if you would like to keep all your videos for that year and continue to upload more videos you will need to buy 2 units of thermal camera cloud data storage.
This fee excludes any mobile data charges. You can pay for these yourself or purchase data from 2040. You also have the option to avoid mobile data charges and upload the videos via WiFi.
