Testing the AI on the camera

If you're using the DOC AI Cam to control a trap or communicate via the Celium network, you will configure the camera to run the AI on the camera. You can upload videos to test this functionality.

First download a video that you'd like to test. You can do this from the Cacophony Portal by pressing the download button when you're viewing a video and select Download CPTV File.

We have some example thermal videos here you can also use.

Connect your phone to the camera and click on the Advanced link on the General tab. Then select the Camera link. On this page select Choose File and select the CPTV File you would like to upload. Then press the Upload Test Recording button. Select the video you'd like to test from the drop down and press play and the camera will then process that video as if it had seen it. 

If you have the configured to work with the Celium Network, this should be uploaded to that network.

If you have the camera configured to activate for the example animal, then the trap should be activated.

Note: The video will be uploaded to the Cacophony Portal as if the camera had seen it. So you may want to delete that so as to not skew your reporting.
