Setting up AI on camera easier now on Sidekick

Back in March we added the ability to run our machine vision models on the DOC AI Cam. We've now made this easier to set up in a new version of Sidekick (3.16).  This will soon be released on Android and iOS.

To set the AI up on the DOC AI Cam there is a new option at the bottom of the camera tab: On Device processing

Once you open this up you have the option to either

  1. turn off the AI (default)
  2. Stream the AI detections (with confidence scores) in real time via the serial UART via the auxiliary port
  3. Trigger a digital signal via the auxiliary port based on the target detection rules

If Trigger is selected you can select the animals you want the trigger to be activated and deactivated for.

At the moment this functionality is mainly used for those that are testing integrating the camera with a trap. We plan to soon add an additional option for Celium integration.

Voltage now visible

The voltage of the battery is now visible in the app as well as the %. This is useful for people using non standard batteries, where the percentage calculation is incorrect.
