Bird identification working much better
Yesterday we released a new, improved bird recognition model that seems to be working much better. Here's an example of a call it identified as a bellbird/korimako in Akaroa.
If you are making bird recordings with your DOC AI Cam, please let us know if the identification is improved.
At the moment we still have a fairly small list of birds that we're identifying:
"bellbird",
"blackbird",
"fantail",
"grey warbler",
"human",
"insect",
"kiwi",
"magpie",
"morepork",
"noise",
"rooster",
"silvereye",
"song thrush",
"sparrow",
"tui",
"whistler"
We are in the process of testing out a new model that has an expanded list of birds. We will let you know once this is ready. This is the list of birds it currently has:
